Middle School  (Age 11-13)

In the middle school, students rotate to subject-specific teachers. Students are exposed to language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, visual arts, performing arts, physical education, health, and technology. The Middle School curriculum is designed to prepare students for a successful transition into High School. Students are encouraged to pursue their interests and passions. Our goal is to develop independent, successful, life-long learners.

The Big Idea

At RAS, teachers develop subject-specific process skills in order to provide multiple opportunities for students to acquire the RAS General Learning Outcomes. Content of a subject area, delivered as a means for students to explore the overarching practices and concepts, results in forming an independent, life-long learner.
